For over 40 years, Applegrove has worked with local residents in the Queen-Greenwood area of Toronto. Services cover the age range with programs for infants, children, youth, adults and seniors.

Applegrove is the community lead for the Neighbourhood Food Hub, an innovative community-driven initiative connecting local food-focused organizations, groups and leaders to work together to create and deliver programs tailored to needs of the neighbourhood. The program at Duke of Connaught is scheduled to open when TDSB schools re-open. The program at the Toronto Formosan Presbyterian Church is not currently offered due to low demand. Don Summerville Scholarship

Applegrove collaborates with Toronto Community Housing and its development partners Context Inc. and RioCan to deliver the Don Summerville Scholarship program, which recognizes the commitment of tenants to bettering the world around them and cultivating change in their career field of interest. Scholarships are available to full-time and part-time students from the Don Summerville community who are pursuing post-secondary education. In 2020 five scholarships were awarded for a total value of $17,500. Click here (PDF poster, 4.9M) to learn more about the recipients.
